EXAMPLES OF ERGONOMIC WORKSTATION PROJECTS
Case #1 - Workstation layout at the bagging machine exit for 3 operators
PROJECT FEATURES
The ergonomic layout of the workstation takes into account the following steps:
- Bag retrieval from the customer's vertical bagging machine
- Inline bag labeling
- Integration of the bag straightening machine
- Integration of an MG Tech empty case erector
- Case elevation by belt elevator
- Automatic overhead transport and distribution of cases to the three workstations
- Tilted and height-adjustable operator displays by electric column
- Automatic evacuation of full cases
- Integration of an automatic case sealing machine
ADVANTAGES OF THE MG TECH SOLUTION
The layout of the manual case packing station was fully designed and developed in collaboration with the customer to best meet the needs of the line operators.
The compact layout allows for quick and easy integration into existing facilities.
MG Tech integrated the peripheral machines (bagging machine, machine straightening, taping machine, etc.) as well as the case erector designed and supplied by MG Tech. This allows the client to have a single point of contact for their entire project.
Case #2 – Layout of a manual case packing station for 2 operators
PROJECT FEATURES
The ergonomic layout of the workstation includes the following features:
- Product retrieval downstream of customer quality control
- Empty case feed from an MG Tech Easybox case erector
- Electrical adjustment based on carton height
- Electrical height adjustment of the product conveyor based on operator preferences
- Adjustment indicators on the control screen
- Actuator-free transfer conveyor
- Integration of a labeling and taping machine
ADVANTAGES OF THE MG TECH SOLUTION
During the concept development phase, the workstation was tested using a digital twin with an ergonomics specialist to ensure it met the desired criteria.
Transfers between the conveyors and the product stops are completely secure.
The solution provided is compact and fits perfectly into the existing environment.
MG Tech has the ability to integrate additional equipment, such as labeling systems or tape machines, which allows the client to have only one point of contact for the entire project.
